Settlement Agreements/Compromise Agreements

If you have been presented with a Settlement Agreement (otherwise known as a Compromise Agreement) by your employer, you will be required to take independent legal advice before signing it. This is to ensure that you fully understand its terms and conditions, and are entering into it freely and informed.

We aim to offer appointments at short notice as we understand that there are often tight time constraints to comply with.

Settlement Agreements often include a provision for the employer to contribute towards your legal fees so that, in most cases, you will not incur any liability for costs. We can help you (at no charge) to locate the relevant provision in your Settlement Agreement in the first instance.
